(CNN)-Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann stepped all over Elvis Presley's blue suede shoes while stumping Tuesday, when she mistakenly wished "The King" a "Happy Birthday."
August 16 actually marks the 34th anniversary of Presley's death.

"Before we get started, let's all say 'Happy Birthday' to Elvis Presley today," Bachmann greeted event attendees at a "Join Team Bachmann" rally in Spartanburg, SC.
"We played you a little bit of Promised Land when we pulled up. You can't do better than Elvis Presley and we thought we would celebrate his birthday as we get started celebrating taking our country back to work."

But Presley's birthday is in January, so the tea party darling's well wishes are eight months too late.

A small lie about her hubby's anti-gay clinic... he obviously has issues, but nothing beyond what he prefers in the bedroom.  and a couple of poor statements/ time recall.

If anything, it shows she's a little forgetful.  Reagan was a little forgetful too.

I think MB's in very good shape.  I think for a campaign that's only 72 hours old, Perry ain't looking too good.  FORCED VACCINATIONS?  And his money guy got paid from it, and the guy is running his presidential run now?  Yikes, that's poor form.  MB looking good right now.

Yep and then, when it came time for an additional 190 billion she said yes.  She's a fraud and a sell out.  After voting for the addtional 190 billion she might have as well have voted yes for tarp and bailout beucase essentially it's the same thing.
