I envision an America where martial law keeps decent folks safe, an America where welfare is abolished in 90% of cases, where those truly in need get a hand up, and people are required to earn their keep. An America where the federal government stays out of state's business and the IRS is abolished. I envision an America where foreign automobiles and products from China are tarried to the gills. Where the unions are sent packing. An America where the Ten Commandments are posted in schools and courts alike. An America that fortifies her borders, and rounds up illegal aliens and deports them swiftly. An America where the dismantling of affirmative action programs eliminate the rise of incompetence, and a man gets hired and fired by his own merit. I envision an America where children aren't confused as to what the word marriage means, and homosexuality is no longer admired. I envision an America with an American President, with an American name and American Values. A dream you say? No, just what the Tea Party has brewing.

The national Tea Party movement appears to have lost some ground in popular support after the blistering debate over raising the nation's debt ceiling in which Tea Party Republicans in the U.S. House and Senate fought any compromise on taxes and spending. Fourteen percent of Americans consider themselves strong supporters of the Tea Party movement, and, perhaps not coincidentally, 12% of the public consists of conservative Republicans who wanted members of Congress who shared their views on the budget to hold out for a deal they could agree with. That is according to a July 15-17 Gallup poll on the debt ceiling debate.

Along with the decline in overall support for the Tea Party from 30% to 25% in recent months, Gallup finds more Americans holding intensely negative feelings toward the movement than intensely positive feelings. It thus appears that, to date, the Tea Party's leadership and activities may have been more successful at galvanizing the movement's opponents than expanding its base of passionate supporters.

You do realize you are entirely wrong here.  Why don`t you have a look at Voter Registration for the Country and for your state and then cross-reference that with the Demographics.  Here is North Carolina for instance.

We had goods from other countries.
There was no public religion of any kind, as that would go against the communist ideals of absolute equality of man.  Every religion claims it's the best (look at the shitfest we have going on in the world today).
There was no martial law whatsoever.  There was a standing army and a tightly regulated police regulated by the ministry of the interior (a KGB type organization) that made sure that youtube videos of cops beating up citizens never happen.
Worker's rights to form a union? - you're joking right.  There's no need for a union as the whole country's a huge union.  Proportionate wages for proportionate skillsets.

I'm not a proponent of communism, but your definition of it is about as wrong as it can get.  Now please, tell me again how you're more of an authority on communist regimes than myself?

There was no public religion of any kind, as that would go against the communist ideals of absolute equality of man.  Every religion claims it's the best (look at the shitfest we have going on in the world today).
There was no martial law whatsoever.  There was a standing army and a tightly regulated police regulated by the ministry of the interior (a KGB type organization) that made sure that youtube videos of cops beating up citizens never happen.

I do not read the New York Times daily nor do I find it a particularly accurate paper as it fails to gauge the pulse of the South and other regions of the United States to be considered a daily read.  With that said, their archival papers are wonderful, especially if you like American History.

I do not own a Volvo and never have.  My most favorite car that I have ever owned was a 1959 Cadillac Coupe De Ville

A free democratic system does not employ martial law, force beliefs or principles on people, or prevent workers from unionizing.  You can disagree with calling it communism but it certainly isn't capitalism
