Yep, he had a massive wealth of knowledge and he practically gave it all out for free....never tried to hustle money for exercise tips.  Shame that most people he helped make it big didn't reward him back in the same manner.  Died a pauper with an bank account overdrawn by 160 dollars.  Away went a gentlemen with class and civility.

I'm a big fan of Gironda's contributions to the bb world, but it's hardly the fault of guys like Rick Wayne & Larry Scott that Vince ended up broke in the end.

Guy was hilarious. Once threw Clint Eastwood out of his gym and Clint sat on the hood of his car outside in the lot hoping Vince would feel sorry for him and let him back in.

Rough and gruff guy. Of course, all this strictness of form in the video ... and for freakin' biceps ... is a total waste of time and effort. It's micromanaging what is an isolation exercise with minimal overall benefit to achieving a large and powerful body.

I was referring more to the guys that picked his brain, trained with him and then went and sold his ideas as their own.  Gironda was never a great businessman so he obviously would have never been a millionaire but he could have had a little more to live on had those folks had not stole his ideas.

I wish there were more books and info on Gironda.

All the web stories are the same.

You would think someone might have taken just as great an interest in him as they did Mike Mentzer... but maybe that's the way Vince wanted it.

What you do not understand about Gironda that is the way a real man of Gironda generation used to you talk to a woman before the pussyfication of the male gender!

Just for the record, I love the way Vince Gironda acted to his clients. I was being sarcastic.

I remember the stories about Vince telling Arnold he was a fatso! Pretty funny guy.

Some folks took offense, others just wanted him more.

Definitely a legend. His 8 sets of 8 with short rest periods and the same weight is a nice break from heavy training.

oh yes, masterful!...lol

any half baked hick can come up with any rep scheme and rest period to be different than the usual 3x3x10. surely you arent crediting him for genius here?

in fact, it works totally against how the human body works. im no VG hater, but arbitrary claims of genius give me the shits.

You trained with Vince Dyslexic? Did he teach you anything cool/useful? Did Larry Scott develop much of his interesting training techniques from what he learned from Gironda?
