In other words, you can't understand what the word "deserves" means as you continue to harp about it and get your ass handed to you over it.

He is right on one thing........

if you want to LEAD THE FREE WORLD - and you refuse to acknowledge simple science such as evolution - It's scary.

it's simple science, really.  And the fact that some people will ignore things like carbon dating and say "Yes, the planet is really 6k year old, like a manmade book said"...  THAT'S SCARY.

Huntsman is the only guy not sucking up to the crazy religious base.

Democratic National Committee's new surrogate: Jon Huntsman
POLITICO ^ | 8/21/11 | ALEXANDER BURNS

________________________ ________________________ _________________

Jon Huntsman's appearance on ABC's "This Week," is winning applause from one of the two major political parties. It's not the one Huntsman's hoping to represent as its nominee for president.

The Democratic National Committee just blasted out a greatest-hits reel from Huntsman's Sunday show appearance, wherein the former Utah governor criticized Rick Perry for being anti-science, Michele Bachmann for being unserious about the economy and Mitt Romney for being a flip-flopper.

The DNC subject line: "Don't take our word for it ..." A sample of the offerings:

JON HUNTSMAN ON HIS REPUBLICAN RIVALS

Huntsman Said The Rest Of The GOP Field Had “Zero Substance” And Were “Too Far To The Right.” Huntsman on ABC’s This Week: “We have people on the Republican side too far to the right. We have zero substance. We have no good ideas that are being circulated or talking about that allow the country to get back on its feet economically so we begin creating jobs.” [ABC News – This Week, 8/21/11]

Huntsman Said He Would Not Trust His Opponents With The Economy Because They Would Have Allowed The Country To Default. When asked by Jake Tapper, “Would you trust a President Bachmann to do the right thing with the economy?” Huntsman replied, “I wouldn't necessarily trust any of my opponents who are on the recent debate stage with me when every single one of them would have allowed this country to default.” [ABC News – This Week, 8/21/11]

Huntsman Said The Republican Party Has “A Serious Problem” In Becoming “The Anti-Science Party.” On ABC’s This Week, Huntsman said: “I think there's a serious problem. The minute the Republican Party becomes the party, the anti-science party, we have a huge problem. We lose a whole lot of people, who would otherwise allow us to win the election in 2012 when we take a position that isn't willing to embrace evolution, we take a position that basically runs counter to what 100 to 900 climate scientists have said with what the national academy of science has said. What is causing climate change and man's contribution to it. We find ourselves on the wrong side of science and therefore in a losing position.” [ABC News - This Week, 8/21/11]

Huntsman Said “We’d Be Here All Afternoon” To Talk About Romney’s Flip-Flops. On ABC’s This Week, Huntsman said, “If we talk about inconsistencies and change on various issues, we'd be here all afternoon.” [ABC News - This Week, 8/21/11]

Huntsman has worked his way back into the 2012 conversation over the last week by attacking the right wing of his own party. What he hasn't done is show there's actually a Republican constituency that wants that kind of candidate, and with Huntsman spinning his wheels in the polls, there's very little down side for Democrats in embracing his rhetoric.

Huntsman is the one attacking others for lack of a plan.  and Bachmann does have a plan.  Get rid of obamaCare asap.

ObamaCare is a like a massive black storm cloud over the economy.

Ryans' plan passed the House of Reps and would have kept our AAA rating.

What you are trying to convey to the rest of the board with that picture, only you would know.  We don't have the same delusions or hallucinations that you do.

Huntsman says he'd be open to run as Bachmann's VP
AP/WorldMag ^ | Aug 22, 11:18 PM EDT
Posted on August 22, 2011 11:29:00 PM EDT by quantim

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman says he'd be open to running as vice president if rival and tea party favorite Michele Bachmann wins the nomination.

The former ambassador to China and ex-Utah governor says that every time he's been asked to serve his country he's answered "yes." Huntsman tells CNN interviewer Piers Morgan that if asked by the Minnesota congresswoman to run as her vice president he'd "be the first person to sign up, absolutely."

Huntsman tried quickly to backtrack, saying the answer was based on a hypothetical question and that he has no doubt he'll win the GOP nomination. The interview was aired Monday night.

he's COMMON SENSE>

he's 100% right - if repubs can't admit that creationism is a little silly - we have the rocks and fossils and carbon to show the earth is a little more than 6000 years old...

that shit won't fly with swing voters.  The MINUTE a reporter asks Rick perry "Do you believe the earth is only 6000 years old" and he refuses to answer - he quickly becoming marginalized like ODonnell was when she refused to list her beliefs on creationism.

it'll happen.  It'll be shitty obama vs. the crazy religious nut.  Obama can win that.

huntsmann is right here.  Nobody will admit it because it'll hurt them in Iowa.  think about the other states.  There's a lot of them.   (56... ask obama!)

Huntsman is the only one not SCARED to look at the bible literalist base and say "Dude, the planet is actually more than 6000 years old, you ignorant ass hillbillies".
