Clinton was a beast in the gym. Used to train with us at Pearls in the Mid-late 70's. Used to blood load before contests to bring out his vascularity. Crazy man CF Smith used to train there as well.

Clinton was a beast in bed. Used to have threesomes  with us at Pearls in the Mid-late 70's. Used to shoot a load in my face before contests to bring out his vascularity. Big cock  CF Smith used to fuck me  there as well.

Does your "wife" know you have pedo tenancies Che? I say that based on your own words thinking that it's okay to have sex with under age girls. (Your words not mine).

COACH ...., I knew Clinton and CF back then ... as well as Pearl and Judy and Harry and Solo El Fenzy and Rob Johnson and Wayne Bouvier and a number of the other Pearl's Gym regulars .... and I think I might have met you once or twice through my good friend Joe Valdez or maybe through one of the above mentioned gym members.

Back then Gold's Gym Santa Monica was sponsoring the Mr A and Clinton and CF felt it might be best to be Gold's Gym members prior to that event  and they both had a talk with Bill berforehand who agreed entirely.

I completely forgot about the blood doping that I only heard about in those good old days. Is that still a common practice today? Or was it even a common practice way back then

Back then Rory L. was training a bit east of Pasadena where the city limits seemed to end prior to the start of complete desert wasteland which is now miles and miles of homes and commercial space.

Rory used to cut hair for some of the members in back of the gym. Do you possibly recall the name of that gym and who owned it?

Also did you ever train at Zuvers in Costa Mesa?

Also if I recall right, Birdsong was the big upcoming superstar of the  So Cal bodybuilding scene at that time and the last time I saw him was after some contest in Disneyland that Jeff and Cory MC'd when we got together with Bob and his wife and daughter at some unreal huge-plate restaurant a few miles south of Disneyland. The kind of place where you ordered a turkey sandwich and you got half the turkey and a loaf of bread. Do you recall that place? Every bodybuilder ate there at one time or another back then.

How about 'fine' dining at the GERMANS in Venice?

I think that all of the above was during your time so if you can correct me or simply mention others who were involved within the So Cal bodybuilding  scene at that time.

I'd appreciate a kick in the memory banks.

Dale Adrian sound familiar? Or John Corvello? Peanuts West? George Frenn? Rhino - who was just getting out of diapers around that time? Bill McArdle? A much smaller version of Larry Scott just out of gymnastic practice? Don Peters? Gypsey Boots? Gene Mozee? Dough Strohl? - Might have been much earlier. Pettis? Kroger?

If you knew some of the above, you witnessed a better world back then.

Thanks for reading ,,,, Stunt

Stunt, those were great times back then. I knew all of those guys including one that I thought i would ever hear of the name again...Solo El Faizy. You MUST have been at the gym during the time when it on on Green St. in Pasadena and if you knew some of the regulars then I know you knew Doug Brignole, Dave Shaw, Dave Johns, Big Louie and Johnny who used to train with us in the EARLY morning group and of course a powerlifter we called "Coach" who was an actual HS football coach. We had a GREAT cast of characters in that gym. Do you remember when the front part of the gym was only open to the men every other day and the womens back door to the womens locker backed up to the back weight room? We got busted by Judy one day peeking into the lockers while the women were changing..LOL.

Joe Valdez was my photographer and I caught absolute hell from Rory when I couldn't make it to his funeral. There were a few gyms that we trained at, see if you can recall.....Olympus Gym in Montebello, Muscle Digest Gym in Whittier and Uptown Gym also in Whittier.

COACH.... Yea, Solo was a good friend of ROb Johnson's back then and I think he eventually started to manage the gym shortly after I departed.  I was a close friend of Rob's who used to date Judy's sister if I recall right.I also knew Doug and I sort of recall that he had won some major teen contest around that time or shortly later. I  also knew Dave Johns well and had also met his good friend - Dave Shaw who was working with troubled teens if I recall right. Both of them  were great people and I still have a lot of respect for Shaw and was very sad when Dave passed away.

I don't recall Big Loui or Johnny though.

Yep I do remember when Judy had lady's day and sort of recall lifting in the back in that smaller room with the heavier weights.

I don't recall the street name that the gym was located on but Bill and Judy  did live in a house behind the gym.

And I did know Joe Valdez very well, In fact I sort of recall him showing me some photos taken of you in a green grass park like setting during a  time that he was officiating at the War Memorial theater in Culver City. He was very proud of someone who was competing that day but I forget who that was.

Joe also always told me about the book he was working on ... "Why is Everyone in Hollywood Famous Except Me?!" Did he ever show it to you.

And needless to say .. he always spoke very highly about Rory.

The last time I saw Rory was at some after contest function in San Jose, Ca. If I recall right it was just after his daughter was born.  I think that was the year that Paris won the overall which was a very close call between him and Rory. I attended that event with Jeff and Cory E, and they were close to Paris at that time and most likely still are.

Were you around when Birdsong won the International in Tiajuana? That was the venue where Oliva kept on challenging Arnold who refused to acknowledge him. I think i told that story a few years back.

INTERESTING times back then because the game was small and everyone knew everyone else. Now when I go to see a contest, I spend most of my time in the auditorium talking to old time BB friends who I've known for quite a good number of years but only see once every few years at one of the Nationals.

ANd I do miss the smiling face of Joe Valdez.

Were you around  when Gene Mozee used to MC the events at the old Embassy Hotel Auditorium in downtown LA? I I still talk to Gene frequently and Cory and I are sill good friends as well as Jeff.

Times have changed and so has competitive bodybuilding but it's still good and still interesting and the fans make it even more so.

Good talking to ya, Coach.

Fuck..what where those guys doing differently drug wise and diet back then..

Deca, some test, anavar, d-bol and a few other compounds not necessarily all at once. Diets were high protein, high fat, low to zero carbs. Can really remembering anyone  dieting for more than 4-6 weeks regardless of condition.

Yes agree - slin has smoothed them out to much - great compound if used say as a pick up post training to get as much into the muscles as possible but not 100s of units a day before every meal etc - abuse of the wrong compound has ruined the look
