is steve davis natural? or what is he on?

Steve Davis was a bulked up football player, who after playing days were over, cut down to get lean. Supposed to have adopted the Rheo Blair diet ideas and trained at Gironda's gym  during the late 60's to early 70's. Hear all this from another Valley guy who worked with him.  Don't know if he took 'roids or not. But most did (in light form compared to today) in that era. Don't know if he was ever in any major shows.

He had (maybe still does) a gym in Valencia, near Six Flags Magic Mountain, off the 5. More of a light to moderate weight, going for the pump ,gym I had been told. The average men and women would be more in tune with his style of body. He's probably in his early to mid 60's I would guess now days.

I don't see how on earth that is a 285 lb body in the "before" picture. Davis was 6' tall.

I remember training at his gym in, the old World Gym in Panorama City. He used very moderate weights with what seemed like 15 - 20 reps per set, it also seemed like he used about the same weight through out all of the sets of a particular exercise. I wish I could remember more about his training.

My buddies in high school gymnastics had veins on abs...16 year old natty kids.

PKAZ- any training info? I was at the Santa Monica World at that time, perhaps just different times of the day. I used to come in during the late afternoon after work. Loved the springy bars on the close set bench presses, as well as the back patio, I remember using the squat rack on the far right on the patio and being able to see the ocean through the apartments. A great time.
