I think I remember playing it at the arcade but my reflexes were shit and I couldn't get past the third screen or so.

I remember there being a game show on TV based around people competing against each other playing this game.

I also remember that old west hologram game as well that was pretty cool, although it was some time after Dragon's Lair.

It was an intriguing game, the "graphics" appeared better than anything out there but at the same time it always seemed like it would take 10 bucks to beat the game so I figured my quarters were better spent on Street fighter 2, that Atari Pit Fighter game or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

We used to have thing thing called "Super Saturday" where you payed 5$ dollars and got unlimited tokens at the Arcade/Putt-Putt from 9 am to 1 pm. Also included was lunch from Burger King.  The amusing thing was we used to hide the tokens in our shoes, underwear, coats etc... so we could play on the weekdays when it wasn`t Super Saturday.  Sometimes we got caught hoarding the tokens and the High School girls working had to search us.  Good times, especially when you are just a 10 year old.

there was a game that ran on laserdisc (as did Dragon's Lair) that was about robbing banks, I think it was called Cliffhanger.
I ruled at that game when I was like 9.  Unfortunately, it was nowhere near as popular as Dragon's Lair, so it wasn't all that cool to conquer.
