Yeah, it was pretty obvious when Hunico was under the mask instead.  Plus the commentator's kept going on about how Sin Cara looked like he'd gained a few pounds...  :-\

Not that the original Mistico is back to work as Sin Cara, PWInsider.com reports that the person that played the role of Cara for the past two weeks, Hunico, may be called up to WWE’s developmental territory soon, and if not, to the main WWE roster. There were talks of Hunico facing Mistico in a Cara vs Cara feud at one point.

Miz is pretty good in the ring; and he's a certified jerk.

The Sin Cara character doesn't talk and you can't see his face. So, as long as the acrobatics and in-ring moves are the same, WHO CARES if it ain't the same guy.

Once again, Sin Cara doesn't talk and you can't see his face. The reason you watch the character is the ACROBATIC and DAREDEVIL MOVES in the ring.

Therefore, if those moves are being performed virtually identically, week after week, who cares if a different guy is under the mask.

You forget that most wrestling fans don't do the website spoiler thing. So, they don't know who the initial guy, playing Sin Cara, was in the first place.

And, the reaction of the fans tells the story. The new guy, replacing the one who got suspended, got just as big an ovation from the people.

In an update from my earlier story on Sin Cara, WWE sources are indicating that the original Sin Cara (Mistico) was sent home from the Calgary Smackdown taping after meeting with WWE officials. Mistico left the building before the tapings ended.

Going forward, sources claim that Hunico will exclusively portray the Sin Cara character, which WWE wants to maintain as its been very popular among kids and in merchandise sales.

Everyone I have spoken to expected the artist formerly known as Mistico to depart WWE, but nothing has been 100% confirmed on that front.

That's a shame.
He only lasted what, a few months - if that?
I still think there are some interesting things they could do angle-wise with the character & mask.
And, I don't know the circumstances under which Mistico is (apparently) leaving, but it could leave some doors opened for a return IF things work out that way.

Regardless, he's very talented.
He'll find work somewhere.

For those who missed it, following their match on Smackdown Tuesday night, Sin Cara kicked Daniel Bryan in the back of the head in what appeared to be a heel-turn like maneuver. F4WOnline.com is reporting that the reason why Cara did this is because WWE is setting up a feud between Hunico, the wrestler currently portraying Sin Cara, and Mistico, the wrestler who originated the Sin Cara character.

Heel Doink was awesome and could have been one of the best gimmicks of the 90's, instead, he turned face and got a midget sidekick.

A lot of people shit on that gimmick, but Matt Bourne did a quite masterful job, IMO.

I loved it. Heenan put him over huge in his first few matches...I think he just debuted at the wrong time. If it was 96 instead of 93, it could have been something.

spoiler..

At last night's taping in Toronto, Ontario, the new Sin Cara (a/k/a Hunico) lost to Daniel Bryan by disqualification when he wouldn't stop his assault of the Money in the Bank briefcase holder. The original Sin Cara confronted his impostor and the two had a staredown.
