the movie was good because it showcased the extremes of the 80's, such as pursuit of money, drugs, fame, etc. the movie was bad because al pacino just pulled that accent out of his ass. i've met a couple cuban people and they sound nothing like that shit that was spewing out of his mouth. also, depalma's kind of a notorious rip off artist, so that movie's just a collage of other movies stolen from other people. but a good movie still and fun to watch, i'll watch it every time it's on tv, but i'm not black enough to own it on dvd. edit: i lied, i just remembered i have it on dvd. |
