As for the chaos of war, the issue in Iraq wasn't the priorities.  It was an arrogant amd irresponsible assumption that order wuld have been maintained and therefore only about half the troops normally needed were used.

His WMD sites were also known and I suspect Bush made that fact known to Ghadafi shortly before he had his change of heart. Obama should have been briefed that any wholescale collapse of the governmnet would allow tons of weapons to get into the hands of people who really don't like us. If I were president my first thought would be as to how toppling the gov would affect my cictizens. I COULD CARE LESS how many of his own people he was killing - which he wasn't. I'd want to know what the military planned to do about wmd sites and where they were on the depth chart of target packages. If they could not be destroyed or easily captured...well then NATO was not going to do it.
