Corney, Zane, Makkawy and Paris come to mind as being able to present their physiques with class and style. Arnold did as well. Style on the dais has long since gone out of style. Class left around the time Yates lowered the bar by upping the dose.

i expected to see mekawy from the title.. flex wheeler said before that he was affected by mekawy's posing..
beside mekawy sure labrada and taylor must be mention as some of the best posers ever.. taylor was the only "dancing poser" who i liked his routines!!..
Taylor has always been amazing, drinks scotch and coke and eats hamburgers. Genes rule. |

So we have two clear markers of the Downfall of Bodybuilding. As Crownshep pointed out: 1. Cupping of the ear during the posing routine by Vince Brown which ushered in the lax posing, hip-hop dancing and the strange audience participation. 2. Dorian Yates Upping the Dose. |

I agree that some of the women have been the best posers. The best routines stick to one song and don't use mix tapes. The moment a competitor cups their hand to their ear, they should be shown off stage. |

We actually agree on something. I saw him live in 1984. His routine was just shy of 5 minutes and no one uttered a word or clapped during the whole routine till the end. I got goosbumps when I watched it. I think it might have been his best ever routine. Actually THE best routine EVER!! Then Bob Birdsong came out and danced like a fag.  |

You can just tell that he put everything he had into it and enjoyed every minute of it. He wasn`t trying to prove anything to anybody, just exhibiting his own art and passion. |
