those cellar dwellars make me want to get a pitchfork

These x2 are fucking loony tunes, this is a funny sketch, they are talking about the pets he has had since living in the tunnels.
The dude on the right went & sat in front of a train a week after this was filmed. SPLAT!!
Hardly a shock, as he is as mental as GH15

The director 'mark Singer' went to NY to make the documentary (which won the sun-dance film festival for best doc).
1'st he was taking cabs everywhere, then he was low on $'s so he was taking the subway, then he was broke & ended up living in the tunnels with his film subjects.
He got the film made though, DJ shadow was so inspired by Singers' story, he let him use the sound track for free.

Some of it is funny as fuck, some of it is depressing as fuck, & all points in between are covered.

Here is the high-tech intruder alarm set up by Julio.

I could not find the clip on youtube, but watch out for the niggre with the Dred's & a shopping-cart full of trash, who's catch line is "mo money, mo money, & mo muddafuck'ing money" as he points to various items of trash that he is convinced he is going to sell.
The guy is fucking mental, but he is funny as fuck.

What a fucked up place to live though, dark 24/7 - you could wake up & not know if it's 03.27 or 15.38  :'(

hasn't hit northeast yet but just went out to get some more candles what a fucking zoo at some gas stations that have some gas left.

NYC will suspend all air travel around 2 I think, metro north (CT suburbs) trains suspended around noon I think.

I can imagine the run on things like food (always stay anabolic  ;D ), water, candles, matches, medicines and other basics.
Do you life in a high building or nearby the cost?
I hope you and your family are save.

I haven`t checked on them yet, all of our beans and tomatoes, cucumbers, Basil, Thyme, etc...seem to be holding up.  Our flower garden has took a beating, but so far everything is intact.  No snapped trees or anything.

The dogs need to go out, but we Frontlined them last night and its still raining with high winds.  I think we are going to have to make them raincoats as to not waste the Frontline.

How will you make the raincoats?  Garbage bags?

Would they stay near you if you held an umbrella over them or are the winds too high?

HOpe you're all OK!

Meanwhile it's interesting to see some of these journalists getting covered w/sea foam and trying not to fall down from the high winds while reporting from the "action."

I put on their Cow outfits that I use for the winter and stood under the trees, hoping not to get hit with any branches.  They went extremely fast as they did not want to be out there very long.

The rain is still going and the winds have not receded too much, but its not a very strong storm so all is well!

The power still has not gone out.  Occasionally it flickers off, really annoying when you are doing computer work and you have to re-type everything.

I am also trying to cook Chicken Adobo for dinner and really hope I don`t get mid-way and then the power goes out totally.  That would be just awful.

Bronx is no different than Haiti.  Wish we could send a lot of these street leeches down there.

Maybe a few will get washed out in to long island sound in all of this.

All clear.  No trees were hurt though they sure took a beating.  Tomorrow is supposed to be VERY clear and warm so it will take all day to clean up branches, leaves etc.  No damage at all. Hopefully this will usher in slightly cooler weather as I`m sick of the heat.
