I've been hearing this since I've joined and I'll say it again....why is it impossible for the 2003-2006 people who miss the "glory days" to step up and recreate it?

Back then there were plenty of Pros here who were used as sharkbait, there was no facebook, key players didnt get pissed off and leave to form their own boards, taking various members with them, Squadfather got taken down, which also led to people becoming fearful to go too far for fear of getting "exposed",FatAlice hadnt started his campaign of single handidly scaring people off and causing rifts yet and the internet simply got bigger with more places to visit.

To Mr. Magoo- the environment has changed greatly. Ron doesn't allow half the stuff he used to then. We had guys like Craig Titus and Tom Prince BASHING one another about who scammed who of what and how much. King Kamali was on here, his imposter was here too so King's name showed up in read. VikingPower would take tons of time befriending someone like Chad Mower, only to get his info and post it and make his entire life story known, and his current life a living hell. Photoshops and GIF files of Mower would show up in EVERY thread. Squadfather would say a ton of off color shit and not get harassed for it. He was known as Mirz back then.
So much to rattle off that is not allowed anymore for one reason or another. Sting operations like Operation Raw changed peoples attitudes toward BBing, and while some still do it, some left figuring if prison time was involved for doing the juice they loved/found necessary to be in the gym etc...why do it at all?
While a good theory on paper, Magoo, so was communism. But never again can the same pieces be in place to allow the atmosphere we had here at GetBig, and the competition between GB and Muscle Mayhem at the beginning...damn those were some good times.

Most of those guys are strong personalities and brought great humor and original content to the boards. If gh15 stops posting in this board, he can't be replaced, although lots will try to mimic his style and sing his praises. A lot of those guys are like that - Squadfather, Special Ed etc. Nobody else can take their place.

And that was part of the reason. The other being this board was a lot more bodybuilding oriented back then, had industry people and pros posting fresh content and was pretty intense. Now any bodybuilding news posted in the G&O is just copy pasted from somewhere else or a link to an MD video, other than the stuff Musclecenter posts. Also, pretty much everything AoO and YB have said above.

That's not to say it's bad now.
