My Predictions For UFC 134 Main Card.

  Light-heavyweight Shogun vs Forrest Griffin

  Middleweight(title fight) Anderson Silva vs Okami

  All of these pics were easy. The only exception is the Shogun/Griffin fight. It could go either way as these guys styles are both very effective against the other, but since this is a rematch and Shogun will be pissed, I am betting on him.

I'm not familiar with the guys in teh first two bouts, heard a fair bit about Edson Barboza though.

Mintauro vs Shaub- I don't like Shaub, but i'm not sure how this fight is gonna go.Hopefully Nog is 100% and hungry for the win.

\Shogun vs Griffin - Bones may have destroyed him, but as much as a love Griffin (no homo) i can see Shogun getting his revenge.

Silva vs Okami. I can't bet against him. Simple as that.

  He looks a lot more muscular now then he did in his PRIDE days. His stand-up has also improved a lot technically. This might be a new era for him. I think Dana White's warning that he would retire him really motivated him to up his game. Remember that even though Nog is only 35, which is not that old, he has been fighting professionally since 2000 and has gone through a lot of wear and tear.

Anyone who has taken 2 weeks of karate knew Anderson was going to wipe the floor with Okami. He is the greatest in his weight class ever (which is not saying much) and needs to either move up to 205 or move down to 170.

Before all the mindless dickriding fanboys (MS and his 52 gimmicks) proclaim this victory as a UFC win, lets give credit where it is due. Another Pride superstar in his prime demonstrated exactly how inferior everyone else is at 185. Case closed.

Anderson is a once in a generation type athlete. He knows it and so does everyone else. Okami is a tough jap that doesn't have the skill set to stand in front of Anderson (nobody does). The result was expected.

All of the other victors represented for the best fighting organization in MMA history. Forrest is not on Shoguns level. I dont give a fuck how many times they show that fluke rear naked choke-- SHogun was rusty then, prepared now and we all saw the result.

Bottom Line: Jon Jones is amazing-- everyone else in every weight-class of the UFC is very  beatable.

  Agreed with pretty much everything. Except that make that 2 wins for PRIDE. Shogun is the PRIDE Grand Prix middle weight winner and one of the three most emblematic PRIDE fighters ever - the other two being Wandy and Fedor. Shogun demolished Griffin without barely making an effort. It was embarassing. He is far above and beyond everyone in his weight class except for Jon Jones. This is a scary thought: the guy who is above and beyond every other title competitor at 205 lbs got his ass kicked by Jon Jones. This means this guy wil remain the champion for years to come. Oh well, maybe Machida on a good day can beat him. Machida is the most effective anti-wrestler fighter at 205 lbs, and he is elusive enough on the stand-up and precise enough with his striking to maybe clip Jon Jones and KO him. Odds would favor Jones, but I can see Machida beating him.
