Why did Barboza get the decision vs. Pearson?

Barboza was backing up 90% of the fight.  UFC should penalize those pussy fuckers for showing lack of aggression.

You dont have to press the fight, he was creating space for himself and landing the better strikes throughout. You shouldnt win a fight based on going forward and getting hit for 15 minutes - the decision was never in question.

fighting backwards is a style as well....
really he won fair and square..
and as i recall the win was not unanymous, was very very close.

Pearson looked more bloodied up, but landed more strikes. Maybe it was based on Pearson sustaining more damage. The real answer is of course all the judges are corrupt.

  Yes. When you fight a fighter in his home town, you cannot let it go to a decision unless you completely dominate him for all 3-5 rounds. Remember that the UFC is a business, and fighters losing before their home crowd is bad for business. For instance, if GSP fought in Montreal and it was a close fight and it went to a decision, do you really think that the judges would give it to GSP's opponent?
