A friggin' BEAST. That's the best I've ever seen Paul pose, not shaking as much as he did in later years. Of course the routine was boring as hell and he stood in the same spot the entire time (till the end but to me the end of the vid looks edited to possibly the night show?).
He looks monstrous just standing there and from the front. But as soon as he hits the RLS and the BDB pose, his weakness' and why he never took a big one shows.

Too bad his back poses sucked. No hardness and he didn't "open" his back during a back double bi.
Is there a vid of that show where they needed to carry him off stage?

The bodybuilders of today can learn something from Paul. A mass monster, yet kept his stomach still in check. A rarity these days.

He probably could have used the magic hands of Derek Farnsworth to open up his back...maybe he some sort of impingement going on...
I remember in the mags, there was a ad showing Joe Weider showing Paul the correct way to pose, and he was doing a back shot. There was a letter, that Paul had apparently wrote thanking him...Well, it apparently never worked.

At the 93 Olympia he was shaking like a lil puppy pulled out of the water...Shame too, because if he could pose, that Luther Vandross song and his posing would be more memorable, instead of awkwardly infamous.

No joking:

Rumor is all the copies of the incident have been destroyed. No one has ever been able to find footage of that.
It's sad that back then people didn't have cell phone cameras etc. to film it by themselves.

I bounced at a club with a guy who used to work with Paul Dillet back in the 90's as a bouncer with him.  He told me it was almost comical how often Paul would be pinning himself.

"Paul, you wanna come out with us after the shifts over?"  "Nah guys, sorry I gotta get home and shoot."

"Paul, where'd you go for lunch?"  "Oh, I just ran to the bathroom to shoot real quick after I got my food in."

Pin, pin, and pin again....

He also talked in an ad with Met-Rx, with Scott Connelly, about his "posing issues" and how they've been rectified. I doubt that was Paul using "rectified!" Anyway, as most people say, not just BBer's, they always talk about "I'm working on this" or "I'm working on that about myself" yet they never actually DO IT.

In regards to that photo of Paul locking up onstage, that's our own Bob Bonham on the far left helping out while carrying him offstage. And I've never seen footage of that outside of that very picture myself. It was at the Arnold, right? Maybe Arnold himself had the footage locked up and/or destroyed.
