The GOP has a serious race relations problem...and instead of reaching out for the votes, they are instead attempting to keep them from voting from staging police cars outside of voting booths, putting out flyers giving the wrong date for Election Day, slashing the tires of vans picking up the poor, push polling tactics, and attempting to push ridiculous regulations at the voting booth.

Yes, really.  The poll numbers during the election showed Palin helped, not hurt, McCain. 

The majority of Republicans don't want her to run, because she cannot win the nomination.  That has nothing to do with whether or not she helped McCain in 2008. 

I am a big Colin Powell fan and I wish he would have run for president.  He is a great American.  But I also watched his announcement.  He was clearly talking about Obama's race when he talked about his endorsement.
