He started work as a bouncer in East London, where he became involved with Pat Tate and Tony Tucker, both of whom worked a large scale dealers in ecstasy during the rave era in the late 1980's.

Three of the gang, Pat Tate, Tony Tucker and Craig Rolfe, Would eventually meet an abrupt and bloody end in December 1995, when they were blasted to death in a Range Rover on a farm track in Rettendon known as the Triple Rettendon Murders.

In 2003 he wrote a memoir about his criminal exploits entitled Muscle. In 2007 a film based on the book was released entitled Rise of the Footsoldier starring Ricci Harnett as Leach.

The Guvnor is one of the best autobiographys I've read, could see it playing out as a movie, Shaws is also good. Got bored of Leach's.
Rise of the foot soldier is very entertaining I thought.

Stevie French (Liverpool), Brian Cockerill (Scotland / Newcastle?) & Lew Yates (Sutton) are 3 other good reads based on the lives of hard b*stards, though i have no doubt each exaggerates their reputation i can safely say they are tougher than any keyboard warrior.

I think that several of those "World's Thinnest Books" lists include a title about "Advances in British Dentistry" or something like that.

Yup. But nothing like over here. I remember having a cast taken off, and the guy who took it off was an orderly with bigass pruning shears, not a vibrating saw. Fark me.

What is with all these Brits claiming that they are harder than hard? You'd think by the way they talk, they'd take out the Italian Mafia, Russians, Albanians, MS-13, Bloods, Crips, all by mid-morning. And send a bill the respective American and Euro governments.
