I don't like dogs. I actually hate them.

But I understand the sorrow of those who like them when one dies.

I just find it extremely unnatural for animals being treated like  "family members".

Plus they are quite "scary" to me... u know the animal behaviour; they can strike whenever.... bite you in head while you are sleeping etc.
I always try to stay as far from dogs as possible.

Can be some childhood trauma of fearing a dog barking nearby or what ever though I don't remember anything like that.

243, I think you mentioned the dog thing some months back too. Maybe really something happened when you were young, or you heard a fearfull story or something. Not kidding.

Yep, I've probably talked about this earlier.

Can very well be the case.
Well, that doesn't have any impact in my life anyway as none of my friends, family members etc. own a dog. I see them only on the streets...

My girlfriend was like you scared of dogs. The I brought home a ridgeback and went to work. She stayed in the house like you shitting thinking it was some irrational unpredictable animal.  She loves dogs now ALL dogs.  Until you get over that fear you have no idea what you are missing out on.  There's good reason they are man's best friend.

Doesn't it say in the Koran that a dog in the house chases away the angles or something ?

It will affect him strongly, one way or another.  If he were a natural, his test would be driven into the ground.  Anyone who has trained naturally, and has experienced the death of a loved one, knows that training stops through the grieving period.  It gets stopped in its tracks for weeks.

But with Jay, it will be a purely psychological hit.  So he'll either get totally in tune or he'll be thrown completely off.  One or the other will happen.

Remember that laker Gasol taking it in the playoffs this year?

SOmething about kobe's wife told his fiancee about the affair Gasol was having, and she left him?

He was crushed - outright frowning and looking destroyed emotionally - and he was terrible on the ballcourt as well.

There is a real chance that this may affect jay in a major way.  From the DVDs, he spent a ton of time with that dog.  People love their pets like children.  The O is just a few weeks away, and he could let this drive him or wreck him.  Very sad day for jay.

LOL at comparing the loss of a dog to the loss of a girlfriend! :D
You must be nuts if you think that the loss of a dog has the same effect as the loss of a girlfriend on the psyche of an adult man!
Seem to me that nowdays people care more about their pet than the fellow human being!
WHAT A FUCK UP WORLD WE LIVE! ::)
