Today, with Tyson's current shape (or when he was fat), I think Poundstone would stand a chance. 5-6 years ago, Tyson all the way (no need to even mention what a prime Tyson would do).

In a boxing ring, Tyson; especially in his prime (duh). Knock Poundstone through the ring floor.

In a street altercation, my money is on Poundstone. Iron Mike could get, again, that lucky and decisive punch in, but Derek would likely smash Tyson into jelly jam.

His size and strength would be too overwhelming. But he would have to be very guarded when he moves in to protect against "killing" strikes from one who is a master. If he took one in one of the sweet spots, it could be over quickly.

Mike Tyson destroyed Mitch Green 6'4" and a pro boxer in a parking lot in less than 3 punches. MG said tyson ran away while he was on the ground watching his feet.

3 douchebags in a hotel lobby talked shit to tyson, and tyson fucked them up in front of an elevator. they all filed suit, saying tyson assaulted them. fuck, that's 3 against 1, and 2 were taller and bigger men than tyson.

and you are saying a SLOW steroid junky wouldn't get his block knocked off by tyson because he has special moves.

poundstone isnt just some juiced up dude who trains like a bitch he is a world class powerlifter. its highly unlikely tyson could knock him out and while it might be tough for derek to land a punch on tyson he would only need one to put him to sleep.

Okay, so you got another boxer going down (who instinctually through training probably went to throwing hands with Tyson only ... bad move) and three very likely sluggish and doughy (good chance inebriated, too: they were talking shit to him, after all) tough guys standing in a hotel lobby.

Poundstone is anything but slow. Your comment of such points to you as being extremely ignorant of the facts.

Derek is well over 300 pounds of extreme agility and quickness. If he can avoid getting knocked out by Tyson, he could very well cripple Mike for life.
