I had some major issues with alcoholism/depression in the past, which is what you were seeing before. Since then I have cleaned up. In the last 12 weeks I have drank maybe 3 times (all 3 socially). I have also gotten a lot of my size back and plan on competing.
I fixed my pec issues thanks to Coach and Dyslexic. I had major problems with my right rotator cuff. A shit ton of shoulder rehab work, ice and stretching has completely changed my chest. I actually have a chest now, and I could not be happier.
Right pec is still flatter than my left a little bit but it's not bad at all. I am actually extremely happy! It was well worth the effort. I actually FEEL my chest when I train now, it's incredible. I have lifted since I was 14 and I NEVER really felt contractions in my chest. I have to really give props to the guys who helped me out here.
Also Chick was absolutely spot on about taking an almost false grip when doing chest and focusing on contracting your chest, not just blindly pressing the weight up. It really does work! When I do decline bb press for example I allow the weight to almost float in my hands while pushing, it's more PUSHING and less PRESSING if that makes sense, and the results have been amazing.
Also cannot say enough about wearing gloves. I bought a pair at the gym with padding in the palm and wrist support, they really take pressure off my palms and allow me to concentrate on pushing with a light grip, it's made all the difference in the world.
