Groink, that picture was me JUST turned 18. Not 19, not 20, I was still a "child" pretty much. With the exception of black guys, how many big, cut, and shredded 18 year olds do you see walking around after their first few months of serious training? thats right you dont!
Give me few years of getting serious with the drugs, when Im around Tbombz age and post a picture and if I still look like "shit", then you can say what you want.
Serious question- What is it with the whole race thing? The comment "with the exception of black guys" how many big cut shredded 18 year olds are there?" Listen I'm black, I've worked hard not only in the gym but also in every other thing I have in life. I was able to become a Physician Assistant with a specialty in liver/kidney transplants. I attribute the people with better physiques, because of their lack of options. I.E, if that person had a chance to go to medical school and succeed, you would focus your time, in that respect and as long as you were passionate about it, do very well. Since it is alot easier of an option to join a gym than be accepted into a medical school or (PA school for the matter) people tend to focus all their attention to that endeavor, because that's ALL they got.
To get to the point, it is my belief that anyone can have a pretty decent physique, I saw many people during my clinical rotations, during the social history interview, the patients that were muscular, said they spent most of there resourses and time on just fitness; where as other patients had school, family or legal matters. Look at Arnold, the man loved bodybuilding, he was always putting his efforts in getting better, and that and like many of my collegues have said, he has the greatest body in history, the same could go for Eminem in rap and Tiger Woods in golf.
Flintstone if you have the passion go and do it, it dosen't matter what race you are. GROINK obviously has the passion for it and from his posts has a good balance of his priorities in contrast to his lifestyle (by the way good job in your transformation and keeping with your goals), if you can match his passion for lifting, then yea, maybe, just MAYBE you, could look close, or MAYBE better than him.
As the Dr. Ben Carson has told me "the person that has the most to do with what happens to you is-YOU. and the choices that you make".
