2012 "Toughest Olympics for Cheats"
« on: September 12, 2011, 09:48:29 PM »
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-14890564

"Prof David Cowan strongly indicated that a new test to catch blood dopers could be deployed for the first time.

Speaking at the British Science Festival in Bradford, Professor Cowan confirmed there would also be a new test for human growth hormone."

Experts, speak on this! Is this a bs claim?

"Professor Cowan did confirm that an improved test for human growth hormone would be available next Summer and that tests for gene doping were also in the pipeline. His message to dopers was simple - cheats will be caught if they come to London. "

How can you test for gene doping? Too bad they will never be able to catch the use of slin.

Cheats will be caught HA! Not a chance

Exactly! Australia announced years ago that they are at the verge of a breakthrough and that the next Olympics will see these testings carried out ( China Olympics) .... yet nothing happened ;)

Expect for events that require strength, eeeeh that's about 95 % of them.

Too much money and sponsorship revenue involved to ban as many people who are actually using - they'll cover things up like they did in 1984 when Carl Lewis tested positive.

Doubt they will ever do blood testing cos it was brought up years ago and thrown out the window as blood is considered private. They will need to get consent from every nation and athlete before they can get this approved.

Wow! Who would have thought the UK would go that route. Anyway they would still have to get the IOC and the rest of the countries to agree to this i guess. Won't be seeing any records being broken then haha!

Simple...stop using  ;)....over here the sports council are really anal about drug testing and there's just no way around it. Why do you think I look no where near as good as many amateurs out there that compete in non tested events.
