As Wiggs said, Jay will win.  That said, what is Jay trying to prove at this point?  If he wins five, great, but does he want to tie Dorian?  Arnold?  Lee and Ronnie?  Surpass them?  I guess that would be possible but does anyone know what Jay is shooting for?  Also, even if he wins he would need to win another 10 pro shows to tie Ronnie's record of total pro wins.  Is he competing for financial reasons?  Alright, fine, but Ronnie seems to be doing well just riding off his reputation while no longer going through the extremes of contest dieting.

I'm only asking because Jay seemed adamant about retiring at 32 and shrinking down to under 230 and I can't imagine this being good for his health and he's already a millionaire so what is he trying to prove?  I'm not hating on Jay or anything, just wondering what his ultimate goal is whether it be professional or financial or something else.

i personally think he should win the arnold again beating the record then retire. BUT i don;t see him stopping. he will probably go for another one next year

to get to the elite level in any kind of pursuit you need to have a great passion and drive for what you do. the motivation required to get #1 on the MR.O stage wouldnt be far from the mentality of a CEO of a major corperation. why dont billionares like Richard Branson or Donald Trump retire? they are set for life finacially but they dont know how to live any other way. jay is no different, and like many others in his position he loves what he does and wishes to continue.

Alot of you guys are dead right about  his right side looks weaker! look at his chest it is way more striated on the left side. wich is odd usually it is the opposite with alot of bodybuilders their right side will appear stronger. I gotta give him props though he has made improvements.I don't think he is using diffrent drugs maybe just upped the dosage or used them in a diffrent manner. Jay has always used EQ and drugs like ephedrine or stronger. that has nothing to do with his physique as he has always used those drugs, Maybe he just trained harder or a bit diffrently.maybe its muscle maturity? who knows only one who knows is jay. bottom line is he has made enough improvements to win but he could do something to blow it at the last day or two wich might cost him you cant say he is the winner till game day. Great shot of Jay.  He looks amazing there.  If he's on point like that this weekend, he wins.  I don't think he'll mess anything up.  He has been doing this for too long now and knows his body well.  Also, Jay can definitely keep improving.  Ron looked his best at around 40 and kept winning after that.  Jay is not Ron, BUT it shows that if yòu are smart, yòu can still improve and keep winning.

Funny how gh15 mentions the Olympia purse.  Puts things in perspective knowing that Michael Vick can murder dogs, do 2 years in prison, and sign a 100 million dollar deal with the Eagles and a 1.5 mil endorsement with Muscle Pharm while the Super Bowl of bodybuilding has a winner who gets a measely 200k.  Speaking of dogs, looks like Jays dog is being the angel we expected and giving him a great look and edge for his 5th Sandow.

I do remember him saying that too - that he was looking fwd to getting down to 220, being able to easily walk up stairs, etc. And how health and family needed to take priority after a certain point. Still, he is one of the smarter ones, and I think he is keeping his health in good check at the moment.
