A chicken soltani is persion dish with two barbecued skewers one chicken and one beef. Then the barbecued tomotaes served with rice with saffron wich give the rice the yellow color very tasty spice also usually served with some pocket bread halfs on the side. alot of persions, meditteraneans, muslims eat soltanis. They are actually very good! one of my favorite dishes. Im sure King kamali has had a few chicken solatnis too many as its a persion dish very high fat great for bulking. Persions can fucking cook!BTW the saffron in the picture posted looks cheap or fake. this you have to watch for real saffron is spendy and some restaurants will use the phony saffron. you can also add a spice called sumac on top of the kabobs when they are done gives it kind of a lemony zest

Yes I have, not in Egypt though (where I'm from) its not very common there. but I have had it in Persian restaurants, great stuff right there!

I love love love that chicken dish! There is a very famous Persian restaurant in the DC area called Moby Dick, made it really well!
