At the Olympia seminar, Jay avoided the question if he was going to come back next year to compete in the Mr. O.   He won't.  He is just waiting until after the show in India to announce he is going out close to the top.

They often feel non-committal after just having gone through the ordeal.

I'm surprised people even want to see him on stage again....

His waist isn't getting smaller, he can't bring up his weak quad or repair his horribly asymmetrical back.

Jay retiring would be excellent for he future of bodybuilding. Him and Kai are the last of the true "Mass monsters"

Let us usher in a new era, small waists, incredible detail and flawless conditioning.

When asked in the press conference, he said he was worrying about this year's Mr Olympia and not thinking about 2012, which makes sense given the injury and all.

Like someone said before, Jay does better when he's the underdog, so he could come back and win the Olympia IF he fixes the atrophy in his upper and lower body (left and right side) and looks like he did in 2009. If he can't fix it, which seems more probable, he's only going to slide down the ranks further. Shame how he looked better than ever in the precontest pics & clips but looked the exact opposite on stage.

everyone wrote him off after he lost to dexter and look at what he did..so i am not going to. IF he comes back i am sure he will be 100% better. i don;t think he would take the risk of losing again if he didn;t think he could win it.

2008 was different, he just wasn't conditioned enough to win. He didn't have the atrophy in his upper body on the left side back then like he does now. Which is why I think it's going to be near impossible for him to correct it. His leg imbalance does take away from his looks, but nowhere near what the upper body now does.

Looks the same as Ronnie did in 2006. Then he came back in 2007 looking worse, which is what I think will happen to Jay if he tries.

i am sorry but you are wrong. i remember that he was going to thearapy ect to fix his atrophy back then.  he came back and won it the next year.so he has had this issue in the past. i think it was more of a water issue. if you are flat.. your legs are going to be and if you have a smaller leg or side it is going to look ALOT worse when you are flat

I have no problem with him winning if he deserves it. But if you look at pics or videos of say 2009 and this year, you'll notice the atrophy on his upper body is quite severe. He's never had that before. His left delt sits lower than his right in his "relaxed" stance and is closer to his midline, making his left chest look only about 70-80% of his right. It's also affected his arm and his back.

If he can fix that and get back to his 2009 shape or close, it's a done deal, but I don't see it happening.

Also 2008 and 2009 is two years/three years ago. Coming in 2012 jay is older and Phil is not Dex, Phil is young, improving in every show and has beaten Jay. IMO, jay will NEVER beat Phil again and most likely retire. The teacher to the apprentice in full effect.

Maybe he should stay in India, become a Hare Krishna and meditate until his comeback at the 2018 Olympia.

The difference is he's an established aging champ now, it  makes no sense to risk a solid legacy, by trying to make a come back, especially when the powers at be are showing a preference for a guy who's your polar opposite physique wise.

You never know ....

Jay Cutler Enterprises is one of the highest revenues in bodybuilding.  Prize money, Muscletech and other contracts, apperance fees, clothing and other item revenue, and many others.   Over a million a year, maybe a lot more.

You need to think about that in 2012....

But yes, can Jay Cutler come back against a powerful Phil Heath who is younger and just beginning to mature in his muscles.

Did he make his decision yet? Who knows?

Let's wait until after India to see...

cut the BS, asswipe.  jay will get no better than ronnie did after 2006. on top of that, he isn't blessed with ronnie's genetics. in fact it is down hill for him.  he broke down just like yates.  phil and kai (maybe slightly if he gets his condition right) will improve again in 2012.  it looks like vic is getting it together again.  wolfe just fucking needs to lift the appropriate weight for a man of his stature.  jay didn't place 2nd, he was 5th or 6th.  that's a mega fall.  fucking diuretics?  get the fuck out of here.  his shoulder is damaged along with his right quad. and the bicep won't get better.

This. It was a last minute fuck up. An in shape Cutler without the bicep issue still beats the blow up doll. He will most likely return in close to 2009 shape and win. That arm is going to be fucked for a few weeks. It will heal, he will get better and start working on next year. He is a far better ambassador for the sport than that clown Heath.

Everyone saying "OMG he uses synthol" blah blah. All of them use seo. His body rejected it. Could happen to anyone. Look at Iris Kyle - same thing happened to her. He was full with water which fucked up his waist.

In fairness though - if he had turned up in condition without the arm and won then nobody would even be talking about the Olympia now. At least it brought some interest to the drug cult.

i guess his right quad and shoulder will repair while he is in REM sleep recuperating from the day's activities.

Yates and Ronnie broke down.  Now, your hero has.

If he was a clear 2nd, I'd say otherwise, but he was more like 5 or 6th in a weak lineup.

GH15 stuff is full of BS because he doesn't like Phil, or phil is doing something he couldn't with less size and structure.

I'm not a phil fan, but his reign has begun.  I always thought it would be 2012 or 13.
