When you did you realize you're getting older....?

Just finished a leg workout after some time off. It's not the same as when I was 20, I'll tell you that. I have lots of respect for pro's older than I am, and still winning shows, like Alves and Xman and then some....

longer recovery in every thing - workouts , booze, late nights

and hair that sprouts were you don't want it - ears, nose , across the top of the back  :'(

Right. Party all night, sleep a few hours, then to the gym to sweat out the hangover. Now I can't even lift my toothbrush after a night like that....

i'm 34, just did legs and chest 4am, have been off almost a yr, did about 70% (my upperbody strength levels arent there yet)  of my maxs but a lot of reps.  i'm ready for tomorrow.  day off so just chilling after 7 rotations in a row.  soreness was gone after 2 hrs.

what you think about that gus?  yip yip

I realized I was getting old(er) when spending time with my infant daughter was way more important than doing a 20 rep set of squats.
That playing a round of golf with my father was way more important than a deadlift session.
That I hadn't been sick in 5+ years, then my daughter went to daycare and I was sick off/on for the better part of 6 months.

I'm in my early/mid twenties and I'm starting to feel "old" in some regards lmao. Depends a lot on the people you hang out with and what self-image you've got I guess.

The zone between not recuperating enough (hurting joints) and recuperating too long (strenght diminishes) seems to get smaller. It takes longer to get back after a lay off. I get injured more often. And I can't go party after a tough workout anymore.
I'm turning into a sissy actually. Maybe I should join a "fitness center".... :-\

Squatting hurts a lot longer than it used to and my knees hurt after this exercise.

It was around my 22nd bd I really realized I was old fuk.

All fun was already behind...  sick drinking, hardcore gym days, high school, first (light)motorcycle, driving license,  military etc.



 :'(  Haven't still got over it  :'(

It really hit me when one year when I had the TV on in the background and the Grammys were on.  They were announcing the Album Of The Year (or maybe it was Song of the year).  Anyway, when they announced the list of nominees and the winner, I realized I had not heard of any of them nor was I familiar with the songs they sang.  And I did not care one iota. For me that made it official:  I was old.  :D

Thats a rather stupid assessment as I am willing to bet that there were Grammy nominees and winners much older than you were.

let me ask you a question bay.  it's hard for us 30-somethings to get a nice  piece of quality 20 yr old ass.  how does that work for you at gay clubs?  i'm just asking.
