Do you know how many of the young guys get coached to kill their accent? Colin Ferrel, Christian Bale, Kate Beckingsale... they all cover their accents quite well for film.

Ol Arnold. Even back in the day always chose a young white woman with young white urban kids in a totally United States setting... and then killed it, with his accent. Too unbelievable.

All of those people you mentioned, there native language is English.  Different thing to speak like an American or British person than to learn a completely new language.... I guarantee you Colin ferrel cannot speak German like a German

Yeah, I'm sure that's a big part of it.


I just don't think Ol' Arnie has ever even tried. Who knows? Maybe he considers himself to have made substantial "leaps and bounds" since he came to America.
