As if the media hasn't been ignoring Cain all this time as well. It's funny how butt-hurt some people appear over this. I like Paul but some people lose their minds anytime they perceive him to be slighted. It's fucking annoying and I'd be willing to bet it will turn voters off to him.

no, I'm not butt hurt, I think it's cool.  I got nothing against Cain.  I just see some major hypocrisy in how the media deals with this shit.  If Paul does good, there is little mention.  That's all I'm saying, if Paul does good in an area, he deserves the same as anyone else right?  In the past he's been ignored in the media when he's done well on this kind of shit.  I got no beef against Cain.  Good for him.  I just want the media to do the same if it's Paul or whoever...

The thing that bothers me the most about Cain is this:

Cain became a member of the board of directors to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1992 and served as its chairman from January 1995 to August 1996, when he resigned to become active in national politics

It's safe to assume he would be just another corporate croney, but then again, who wouldn't be?

Polling shows that roughly 15% of Americans are in favor of ending the Fed. I'd like to see it gone but the fact is that the overwhelming majority of this country doesn't. I like Ron Paul but people need to stop anointing him a Messiah like Obama. He's not perfect and neither are any of the other candidates so the constant dismissal of anyone but him is pretty foolish.

You realize that polling shows that roughly 15% of Americans are in favor of ending the Fed, right? I'd like to see it gone but the fact is that the overwhelming majority of this country doesn't.

I did not say anything for sure, Cain would probably be better than Obama at least but how about not bailing out all the derivative junkies on Wall Street? Both dems and repubs supported that. Maybe Cain would not support that, which would be good.

I agree. I was against the bail-outs from day one and argued that market forces should have let these banks fail. They would have failed and other banks would have stepped up to take their place. That's how capitalism works.

I don't think Cain is perfect (not a fan of a lot of his social viewpoints) nor am I a fan of his Fed membership but from what I've heard from the guy regarding the economy in the debates, he certainly sounds better than Obama. I like that he's throwing ideas out there. Is his 9-9-9 plan perfect? No, but it's an idea, something the Romneys and Perrys have been avoiding while they're too busy playing grab-ass over whether SS is a "ponzi" or not (another thing Cain has offered a solution on).
