This morning at the gym I saw a guy about 6'2", 230 lbs, probably 25%+ bf, wearing a t-shirt from some bumfuck community college football team that proudly proclaimed him as a member of the "185 Club".

The shirt must be to warn fellow gym-goers to keep their distance when he is benching, lest they be forced into orbit around the gravitational center of his weights.

What % of Getbiggers to you suppose are in the 185 Club?

it couldnt have been a lift, must have been somthing else

On football teams it's common to define t-shirt "clubs" based on 1-rep maxes or sums of them (e.g. bench + squat).

No this was in Canada.  They use lbs in gyms here.

They use both from what I know, 185 is about 400 pounds, so who knows.
I've heard kg's being used in sport for something weight related, but I can't remember what exactly.

Have you actually spent much time in Canada?  Nobody here that I have ever met reports lifts in kgs.  All the weights are labeled in lbs too, except for olympic lifting weights but those are kgs everywhere and I don't think this fella was C&J'ing 200 lbs anytime recently.

i clicked on several canadan barbell  companies and they sell pretty much what we have and use in usa  with both lbs and kilos listed.

Dude I know lots of foreign dudes at my gym that use kg's for everything. Wouldn't surprise me at all if the college at lots of FOB's. I'm also quite certain where I live there was a kid that did a 200kg for some prize money or some shit and I live no where near you.

OK, I'll admit, I'm a Jack ass enough to consider wearing one of those shirts if I could bench 400+ lbs  but not before that...
