It's hard to dominate with a "pretty" physique. As long as the competition is a little off, it's fine, but if Victor, Kai or Jay were spot on with conditioning, suddenly Phil doesn't look as good.

His fucking waist is 50inches people!! He should never place in the top 5 of the Olympia EVER because of that alone. I love how everyone says Phil looks good standing by himself, when he's next to Kai he's tiny. Well Kai's gut looks ok when he's by himself, when Phil stands next to him with a real waistline you sea how fucking huge Kai's waist is. Huge waist/gut=shitty bb. I don't understand how people don't give kai credit... look at him, in terms of the amount of quality muscle, there's only ronnie above him. I understand he has a weird face, a weird style, a weird body type too, but come on, look at his arms even. He has the same rare combination of peak and mass in his bicep. Dude will be runner up to heath for a long time, but I think Kai has way more heart, hope he makes it in movies or something.

compare physiques and who is better "on the day" all you like...the ifbb need to appoint a "leader".

someone who can push their "brand" in all interviews that a mr. O does. the image, the whole lot.

there is the exception of dexter, but this is a physique that needed to be rewarded. one for the guys who were crying about flex not winning it all those years. it was to cover their own asses. but only for ONE year! and they knew it! never was going to be a "permanent mr. O".

but they have chosen phil for permanent mr. O. you can bet on that. he'll push the "brand".
just like appoointing a companies CEO / manager / leader. "the image"...and phil is it.

don't know if with the "current fad phase" going on since the olympia less than 2 weeks ago on what is NOW IN as far as the ultimate pro bb physique, if i'm in the majority or the minority around the world.. i still think that mr.olympia should be the biggest most massive guy on stage.. and that is cutler.. then kai...

it was his O to win and he did. the problem is the crazy statements about him 24 hours after the O such as him structurally being better than flex, the best and most complete physique ever on the O stage, and he could take down a prime ronnie or yates. that's some insane shit or BS! one week later, you can see if kai is slightly on he can beat phil, and why he beat phil twice at the arnold? jay is still horrible, but is a mess monster compared to phil. phil is what dexter could be if he could fit an additional 15lbs on is frame. phil has the height to do it. that's about it. how long does he last? 4-5 yrs because alot of guys wont up their stuff and kai wont pull away from the table because he can afford to eat now.
