1992 AFC Wild Card Game- Down To the Houston Oilers 35-3 in the 3rd Quarter, Frank Reich rallys the Buffalo Bills to a 41-38 victory in the greatest comeback in NFL history.

Michael Jordan... in his first FULL SEASON back after stepping away to play baseball, the Bulls set a record going 72-10 in the NBA.  Jordan lead the league in scoring and won the MVP award.

I feel like when guys step away from bodybuilding they just take steps backwards.  I really don't think any bodybuilder has ever come back better than they were originally.  Maybe I'm wrong?

The greatest comeback in bodybuilding history by far and will never ever be duplicated is Juliette Bergman after a 12 year layoff from competing she came back and won the 2001 Ms.Olympia and not only that but in 89 she came in 15 place at a crappy pro show, unbelievable

Aside from Greg Lemond coming back after nearly losing his life after getting shot I would have to say Mark Spitz the swimmer.  In 1968 he was the favorite and he failed.  He then spent 4 years training like a mad man.  He then won 7 gold medal and 7 world records.
