from what ive seen with this crossfit shit, it has zero to do with athletic ability. its based off of exercises that are old school and people think they are tough when they do them. which is the draw to it. they absolutely love to drop the barbells on the ground and watch them bounce around. 90lbs cleans for men, and like 55lbs for women. then throwing medicine balls in the air? then the hang and toe raises? yes not everyone can do that, but its on a apparatus, meaning it takes no coordination at all to do it.
now stand 23 feet away from a 18 inch cylinder and throw a 9 inch ball in it at will. now thats skill. charles did that shit all day long.
