Just goes to prove that you do not have to be 260-280lbs to to look your best. Insulin and Growth have pretty much ruined pro BB.

put flex on phil's drug bill, and he kills phil, just based on his superior shape, but some will say phil is the best ever.  ::)

What more can you say about the sort of Aesthetics, Posing, Proportions, Detail etc etc that Flex brought back then, absolutely prime time in the Ranks back then, Dillets shoulder width was Extra-ordinary, his Waist to Shoulder ratio was Insane in 93.

Notice that it was on NBC, also notce that his waist was smaller than Lee's, so the only measurement that I can believe is the 27 1/2 waist.

Flex sure looked the best back then.

Great combination of aesthetic mass.

Thin waist as well!

Standing relaxed Labrada was ahead of Wheeler....

Despite all the hype surrounding Flex.

I don't see it, Labrada was outclassed, outmatched in the relaxed...

If Labrada was 205, I could see him winning, but in the 90s, Labrada was to light to fight, and this was 2x in a row.
By 98, Labrada's physique wouldn't even have won him a Pro card...as great as it was.

Labrada was beaten in the 93 Arnold but to say he wouldn't even have won a pro card by '98 is mad. Even today he would still be top 10 in the world.

Watch the clip and Pause it at 4:12  and tell me that Labrada upper body isnt supperior than Wheeler's Pecs, delt, arms abs, shoulder width..

Standing relaxed, while bigger, Flex had few flaws...compared to Lee.

Considering hes over 40 there he still looks sharp more so his hand speed and that hook kick to the head (while off target still gets the kick up-there) although his timing and balance is Shot witch is to be exspected after been out of it for so long , that type of Karate is called "Point sparring" Nothing to do with Full Contact your NOT allowed to Punch and hit to the head and light contact with the kicks as well.... 2 warnings then your DQ'ed, Im Surprised He actually went back as in BACKWARDS....and tried this Format out again, Simply because this is where Most START from as KIDS not Adults, Myself and a Million others included, you join this sort of Competition @ 8-9yrs old and usually bye 16 where you have learned all the basics with Timing, reflex's, speed, Distance etc everything you will need later on when things get Real... so you go up a Level...Boxing...Kickbox ing....Muay Thai...etc, not sure what his Motivation was other than to see if he could still be competitive @ it i guess.

He looked even better at that year's Ironman pro.

ND, do you think that if Flex had stepped onstage in this form at that year's Olympia, he would have beaten Dorian?

SUCKMYMUSCLE

As good as Flex looked by himself, Dorian made him look like a little kid in 1993. He wasn't close.

Sometimes I think he would and others I don't , I think he could and he might come close like Ronnie but Dorian at his best just has to many advantages

93-96 flex was shredded and had crazy musculature on a small jointed frame,96 up and by 98 looked like a cartoon and loaded arms and delts that looked flexed without even posed ,esp rear delt area.still amazing to see .

There was a small clip in the beginning of Flex's Hardbody vid, where he is apparently in a class with others and is doing a high kick or is doing a kata, he apparent;y is in bbing shape, as his face and hair looked to be the same as in 93. He does the movements with ease.

lets just say, to Flex, martial arts was first, bbing was 2nd.
