There is real talent in China, but copying is a result of the lack of law and consequences. If IP was enforced there would be innovation. Japan started out this way and now they are quite innovative in many areas. Nothing to do with culture or genetics, it's the lack of law.

Except the japanese, for the most part believe in quality...if you look at what they produce, like cars or bikes, even knives, it's produced to be reliable, to do a job, period.
There have been some lapses, and who can forget the rusting Toyotas of the early 80s.
The Japanese built te biggest battleship ever, no small feat.

The Chinese see nothing wrong, and many scholars have pointed out that there is a culture of it's ok to deceive in business---let the buyer beware is true over there.
I can't trust people who would blatantly allow such theivery, as if it is ok. I would pride myself in that my companies are innovators.

their govt was cool with harvesting prisoner organs, so cloning CDs and a couple of cars is child's play.
