i agree..nuclear energy would be the way to go...but the american people don't want it and politicians are too short-sighted to push for it...it would be a major battle to get more plants built....

meanwhile EVERYONE and their mother want to see solar energy and green technology pursued

It's a good and prudent idea to pursue solar and green tech. It's not a good idea to issue loan guarantees to companies that can't prove they can't make a profit.

wind power is actually overblown..and china has been developing it without properly debating the issue.....the gov't there can do what it wants even if it turns out to be inefficient and costly in the end.....wind power is unreliable and takes up a lot of land mass for the wind turbines..there are other problems with it as well
