I'd like to point out how massive the difference is regarding University education here in Australia.

Very few people live on campus, they mostly commute from home and go back again, like a normal job. A fuckload of of costs averted there by not paying accomodation fees.

Furthermore the government funds your degree and the amount is deducted very gradually from your salary once you start working. Additionally you have to earn over 48k or so for the deductions to occur, anything under and there are no deductions. If you live overseas for 10 years or more the debt is wiped clean.

I'm guessing the logistics of the US with its much bigger population and so many more Universities may not allow for such a system, but it works very well in Aus and there is nothing like the stress which occurs in the US here.

A law graduate can earn a degree for like 30k here.

I've checked out the site, and found that most of the people with college loan issues don't specify the pursuit they've made. Others have followed things like Computer Science, Education, etc. So the idea that they're all "native drum-making" specialists or whatever is simply bullshit.

The other group that make up the bulk of posters are people who are working low wage jobs and are either currently experiencing a financial disaster (medical mostly), or are in fear of experiencing a financial disaster every time they spend their last dollar on food.

So on the one hand, we have people who have no right to complain about their minimum wage job since they haven't gone to school to better themselves. And on the other hand, we have the people who have gone to school to better themselves but have only gotten a toilet paper degree with a large side of debt to go.

I`ve posted some with legitimate claims, but the OVERWHELMING majority are nothing more than poor decisions, one after another. You failed to address the having kids young whilst not having any future plan or a cent in the bank.

I'd be inclined to agree if it wasn't for the fact that socialism, or at least democratic socialism, has been proven to work very well in a good amount of countries. Scandinavia is definitely a leading example.

Wait 20 years and we'll talk about how "well" it worked. It does work TEMPORARILY only due to their mentality. It wouldn't work that long anywhere outside of those countries. And anyway, it will collapse. Would you like to live in a country where your neighbour can tell that you slapped your kid and your kids will be taken from you? It's a country where family values are non existant, where people are cold and emotionless, it's sad country to live in.

Sweden will be last country in EU to collapse but it will, without any doubt. Greece is done, many other countries are half done and Poland is very close as well.
