And its common knowledge that a liberal arts degree won't land you a cushy desk job like it used to. If these kids cant afford a 80k education, why not try community college and take up a trade. There is LOTS of money in trades. Its not a poor mans career anymore.

Let's say he started working at 20 years old.

So after 32 years of working ... retirement is "just a dream" ? What the fuck?

I work with a bunch of people his age, while not everyone in mid 50s is ready to retire, a lot of people are about 10 years away from doing so comfortably.

There are tons of them...just as there are tons of unemployed attorneys, and people with PhDs...

I live in suburbs of Chicago. A lot of my friends and acquaintances went to community college for first 2-3 years at about $1,500-$2,000 a year.
Then they transferred to a public university like University of Illinois at Chicago where tuition is super cheap, especially if you rent an apartment with a few room mates off campus to split the costs. You can get a bachelor degree this way for under $20,000 or less if you hold a part time job, or even close to debt free if you apply to the thousands of scholarships available, grants, and work a decent "crappy" job during the summer.

Shit isn't fucking rocket science!

My girlfriend's brother in law's buddy went to U of Chicago and got a bachelor degree in political science and owes close to $200,000 for under grad. Now the dude smokes weed and plays video games all day ...and still owes $200,000.

I'm not a big fan of taxing the rich more and these guys bumming out there in front of Wall st but consider the following.

Is it ok to be so rich that you can hire people to make you more money while you barely work 5 hours a week? You are so rich that you can rig the system in your favor using those under you to make you boatloads more vs what your workers get paid. Is that ok?

I am also blond, so if I worked as a waiter and out of a sudden my boss decided he wanted only brunets then I couldn't sue him. What if I worked at a construction and boss bought new machines and it made unable for left-handed guys to operate? Again, I won't be able to sue him becouse of that.

OMFFFFG 2 things here.

FIRST she is NOT in the highest tax bracket which is 35 percent. With 52k a year, she pays 25 Percent in taxes.

Year 2011 income brackets and tax rates
25% $34,501 – $83,600

Next, if she is out there marching with the Wall Street protesting Morons or supports them, then Higher Taxes are what they are basically advocating as there is just no other way to PAY for their Demands. So she is bitching about her Tax Rate which she has no clue about, then she proceeds to throw her support to a group that has demands that can only be met by RAISING Taxes.
