If you can name the last 2-3 Mr. Olympias... Or if you can name one Schwartenegger Classic winner... Or if you have bought 2 bodybuilding magazines recently... Or one muscle video ever... then you are a fan.  If you are embarrassed about having done any of the above then you are a fan. ::)

A few years ago I would have bought magazines and followed results etc.

Not I don't at all. I still come here because it is hilarious though!

I'm a fan of the sport , I know every single Olympia winner since year one ( no homo ) but for the life of me I never had the desire to attend a live show , or see anyone guest pose. especially not after hearing Bay say what some guys in the audience do  :-X

I have boxes of bb mags in my garage.  Can name every Mr. O and SC winner.  Haven't bought a bb mag in years.  Own Yates training video, but have seen dozens and dozens of vids/clips online.

Yep, I also have never desired to attend a show.

Wow Bay... im semi-proud of you. I thought you were going to say you were gay if you did any of those things. Way to not be the stereotypical gay man.

Sadly Im disgusted with BB now-I grew up idolizing the old school BBers and my dad was into BBing since the 1950s-I will always train but professional BBIng is a joke-steroids are one thing but this GH and insulin business has ruined it-its gone from a healthy way of life to a truly dangerous one-and then Ill hear the twitter of a pro how they did cardio this AM or something-or how healthy theyre eating..

a few national level shows

attended the mr olympia from 96-2001

witnessed 1 night of champions show

have been to the pro ironman twice

and the arnold classic once

but in the last 6-8 years the sport has gone off the tracks

bbing was much more interesting back in the mid 90s

There is two kinds of fans IMO. The internet fan who follows webcasts and could buy a mag sometime.

And the fan who has pictures on his walls, travels to attend shows and would get completely star struck to see Phil heath enter his gym.

Bb.com is littered with the second kind.

All in all i must be honest with myself and say im a fan.

training hard and eating well are cool for getting/staying in shape, gaining strength for playing sports, feeling great and keeping healthy.

the posing/competitive part of bodybuilding is gay (and laughable) as the day is long.

i'm a fan of Getbig for the comedy.

when i was 15 i had a lot of bb magazines in arabic (translated from flex) and few original flex magazines.. i made a notebook with tables listing all top 10 of each olympia starting from 1984.. it was like my records  ;D.. i had video tapes of mr. olympia 86, 92, 93, 94, and 95.. then the internet was available and everything has become easily reachable and has lost it's attraction gradually imo!!..

i consider myself a fan of the 80s and 90s bb only.. few years ago i have downloaded from the net all the olympias of the 80s and 90s but didnt care to download anything after!!..
