The cop did the right thing.
People always assume that a man should never hit a woman and while, in most cases, where a man initiates the beating the rationale is correct, any justification for it is thrown out the window the moment a woman assumes she can just randomly hit a man and bank on the fact that he would not hit her back based on any moral restraints set in place.
Once a woman hits a man, she loses any claim to being a gentle, weak, feminine creature, who is too fragile to endure physical pain, if anything, she opens herself up to anything the man is willing to give.
Good for her.
