I tried going without carbs for three days.. I could definitely notice a change in overall dryness.

But it was weird though, I stuffed my face with fats and proteins and I felt full but still wanted more... Never got rid of cravings until I had some sort of carbs. But I only went at it for three days, maybe you can learn to suffice without carbs for longer periods of time. Personally I just like my carbs way too much, kinda like Wiggs and chicken wings. Inseparable.

Just what lovemonkey said, I've done carb manipulation my self, it REALLY works. Carbs are what fills you and makes you puffy... if you have carbs in minus but you eat normally otherwise you will definetely lose water and fat. And you will be hungry... when you eat an apple, it's like the best apple you've ever eaten  :P

I tried the low carb thing for a while and felt like shit (hungry 24-7) and didn't think I looked any leaner.

If I eat less carbs (40-50g than the normal), I can notice my face become leaner after 2-3 days, so I'm guessing makes me lose some water.

Nah man  ;D lol, just curious to see what changes in the physique can take place if I implement some changes to my diet

I have to drop some more bodyfat first obviously but I'm eating well now, I stopped smoking and therefore no more munchies, lower abs are starting to show I just need a little more time to get it right
