Have a friend who works out at the same gym (so he says) and he (friend) says that MA is real evasive about when and if he'll compete again. So im going with retired

I used to chop it up with melvin quite a bit before he moved from my area a few months ago I guess he's just getting his life together after going through so personal things. If he is done then maybe his brother will try and fill his spot. His bro is a strong dude and a somewhat taller version of melvin but I don't know how far he wants to take BB outside of the few shows he's done.

Melvin Goodrum has not retired as of yet, but I do know that his earnings from sales by way of his website (Caliber Fitness) were enough to allow him early retirement.

You mean the divorcing of his Peruvian wife and getting with that restauranteer?
Melvin had the goods to be a world beater, taking out Dex, Vic, Wolf, and even Phil, Kai and Jay. But he didn't want to do what was necessary to come in condition. He had a better shape than all those mentioned, as he was a Flex Wheeler clone...

Sad, he'll be just another footnote, like Brian Buchanan, who had the same physique.
