I wholeheartedly agree with you and it seems as if it is only China that has actually gone about in trying to fix the population problem.  In Russia, tax credits are actually GIVEN to families to HAVE children......which makes sense in that Russia is actually declining in native Russian population(as all of Europe is).  

Perhaps I'm wrong, or its just a jaded view when I see outside my window at the city of Miami, but to paraphrase that stupid song, "Only Stupid People are Breeding."  Perhaps mass religion is the big problem here, from Catholicism to Islam, both of which promote families to make broods of children.

I was in a feed store buying some tomato plants a couple of years ago and as I'm waiting to pay I hear a conversation start where some hippie-wannabe was giving some farmer crap about his "carbon footprint"  the old farmer response was "I don't know how big my footprint is, but if you don't leave me the hell alone your ass is going to find out..."  hahah  the hippie-turd made his escape roaring out of the parking lot a 30mph in his Prius.....

Global Warming/Climate Change or whatever the politically correct term at the moment is, is generally to be accepted as fact by the US Government and various global groups as something that is contributed to by human activity, whether it be driving your car or firing up a factory.

However, the solutions put forth, if you can call them that, are rather puzzling................ ..Heavily tax and regulate manufacturers and other polluters here so they can go abroad to places such as China, Indonesia, and Vietnam where they can pretty much do what they want.  Have you seen the air quality in many of those cities over there, as well as how dirty their water is?  China is now the biggest market for new auto purchases.  

The US is still receiving nearly 1 million legal and illegal immigrants into the country each year, most of them unskilled, non-white, and coming from Third World nations.  Does this not put an extra burden on our power grid as well as more clogging of our roads?  I am also sure that 1 million new jobs are being created in the US each year.

Electric and Hybrid cars?  Stupid.  The average personal vehicle weights in excess of 4000 pounds and transports a scant tenth of its weight in people.  Combined with materials and cost for maintenance, it is very inefficient.  In fact, the disposal for some of the battery packs for hybrid vehicles can be a killer for the environment.  Let us not forget the extra burden(along with more and more people coming in) plugging in a GODDAMNED CAR  into an outlet puts on the power grid.  The solution?  Politically expedient "solutions" such as wind farms and solar energy that if they had had any merit, would have been in effect decades ago.  

You can thank ever growing safety requirements and crash standards put forth by the insurance companies, NHTSA etc. More airbags, electronic equipment, safety cages, more steel/aluminum = more weight. THe heavier a car/truck the the more force of impact it has which means you need more safety standards. Just wait until they force car makers to start applying "pedestrian safety systems" to cars as well.

Do I want tin can cars running around and killing people, NO. But you have to recognize that this current path leads to other consequences.

I was kinda shootin' towards the abolition of personal vehicles altogether, or at least relegated to that of "sport only", such as NASCAR and drag racing or if one likes to take the ATV out...it no longer becomes a family necessity. 

No more road construction, more vehicles to go to recycling plants...and in their place, electro-magnetic rail on all major throughways and biways.  And let the American fatasses walk the half mile or so to the local train station....America's too fat anyway.

Agreed. And any couple who sires or adopts more than two should have the extra child executed in front of them so they don't even think about taking on an extra child in the future.

Couples with one child or less will be forced to adopt foster children and care for them until age 21 or face execution.
