One of my friends' husband is a left wing moon bat and before the election I said to him "Do you really know anything about Obama before you are so willing to vote for him and donate $2,500?"

However, the solutions put forth, if you can call them that, are rather puzzling................ ..Heavily tax and regulate manufacturers and other polluters here so they can go abroad to places such as China, Indonesia, and Vietnam where they can pretty much do what they want.  Have you seen the air quality in many of those cities over there, as well as how dirty their water is?  China is now the biggest market for new auto purchases.  

The US is still receiving nearly 1 million legal and illegal immigrants into the country each year, most of them unskilled, non-white, and coming from Third World nations.  Does this not put an extra burden on our power grid as well as more clogging of our roads?  I am also sure that 1 million new jobs are being created in the US each year.

Electric and Hybrid cars?  Stupid.  The average personal vehicle weights in excess of 4000 pounds and transports a scant tenth of its weight in people.  Combined with materials and cost for maintenance, it is very inefficient.  In fact, the disposal for some of the battery packs for hybrid vehicles can be a killer for the environment.  Let us not forget the extra burden(along with more and more people coming in) plugging in a GODDAMNED CAR  into an outlet puts on the power grid.  The solution?  Politically expedient "solutions" such as wind farms and solar energy that if they had had any merit, would have been in effect decades ago.

I wholeheartedly agree with you and it seems as if it is only China that has actually gone about in trying to fix the population problem.  In Russia, tax credits are actually GIVEN to families to HAVE children......which makes sense in that Russia is actually declining in native Russian population(as all of Europe is).  

Perhaps I'm wrong, or its just a jaded view when I see outside my window at the city of Miami, but to paraphrase that stupid song, "Only Stupid People are Breeding."  Perhaps mass religion is the big problem here, from Catholicism to Islam, both of which promote families to make broods of children.

And as the rest of the world pollutes to their hearts content, the intended regulations and punishments here (that, yes will likely drive many of our companies to other countries) would have what effect on the world as a whole when we are the only ones under these "laws?" 

Haven't I read there would be no reg/punishments/addtl tariffs on imported goods from other countries that do nothing to reduce their "carbon footprints" in manufacturing?
