Very impressive result for the GT-R, especially considering the price, who would've thought a Nissan would figure so prominently in the 2 second club.

Say thank you to the dual clutch gearbox (all three or them have it). The Nissan is a beast.

I had a 2010 gtr and it was the funnest car I ever had... But I never ran under an 11.2 in a 1/4 mile
These numbers must be at sea level

2012 has higher hp ratings than the 09-11s, remember the 09s had that launch control issue, so they discontinued that feature (I believe ) for the 2010

Earlier this yr, there was a 2009 GTR at a BMW dealership near me. It was going for 69k.

Nice cars. Still love the Terminator. 8.9 and 9.0 second 1/4 miles! Modified yes but awesome and probably for much less than the GTR.

the nissan is pretty impressive and it has only a 3.8L V6. can probably get under 2.7 secs with some lightweight mods and some tuning of the engine.

btw. Swedens pride smoking a GTR!  ;D

I wonder how it will work out with Nissan when they start using Mercedes Benz V6s, as Nissan's have roughness and balancing issues.

I traded my 2010 in with 10,000 miles for 65k... Damn car dealers are the biggest crooks.... I bought a Cobb tuner with tcm that put the launch control rpm at 3700rpm not quite like 2009 bur muck better than stock 2500rpm

I was only driving it like once a week and every time I parked it I always worried... No matter how far I parked it someone would park next to me... Plus it already needed new tires  at $550/tire!  I guess I over reached

Supercar performance starts to cost, huh?
There was some guy on autospies.com who reacted like you with his CLK55 AMG Black Series...always parking it where he could look at it (and imaginary offenders) through the office window.

yeah buing the gtr prolly isn't a problem for many people. maintainance cost is something they forget about  :D

There was an article a few yrs back, that showed that the GT-R had not just Supercar pace, but supercar maintenance. And the hood is done in a certain way, that it "pops" fwd if a pedestrian is hit...and the dealership has to to put it back..

The oil changes were $195 EVERY 3000 miles.... They made sure you did, something about the pistons..... Didn't really listen.... Then you had to have the clutch "calibrated" every so miles....  The tires had nitrogen, so another inconvenience.....  No auto on off headlights or turn signal..... And the "comfort" setting had to be manually turned on every time car was started.... But other than that, loved the car!

It gets decent gas mileage and is quiet with great stereo... But a rough ride and high cost would make me really consider buying again... I guess I will have to just wait till I can afford a 911 turbo!

this,,a 911 will av 9000 to 12000 miles for new tires esp rear due to placement engine more weight there,if u drive it alot ,,if it sits too long then dry rot set's in so u can't win.tire's depending on brand same go for 400 to 600 per tire.
