Dorian has a segment also, but he didn't pose after his work out. He did look smaller than his usual "gym" self.

Mike was in his early 30s when he got sick and stopped competing. He won the first 4 contests he competed in after winning his pro card, incl. the Arnold Classic. So it goes to reason he retired before hitting his peak, which usually happens in the mid to late 30s for most guys. HTH.

Dorians pics backstage when not under the lighting always look incredible, kinda makes you wonder if there is something to those statements so many people made about how pics never did Dorian justice, how he had something that pics just didnt capture, something the lights and lens wash out.

Mike's gift over Nasser 94 NOC was about as big a gift as Dorian's O wins 1994-1997

Yep, he improved big time from 94, when he won his pro card, to about 96. Started getting too big too fast from 97, which made his gut huge and threw off his whole look. And then came the squatting accident that put an end to it all.

If he'd hooked up with someone like Chad Nichols or Chris Aceto in 95/96, he could've gone all the way to the top. He carried his 270-280 lb onstage better than guys like Ronnie and Nasser. His back was very good too and he had no weak body parts. People rave about Gunther, but Fux was bigger and put together a lot better.

Fux and Francois are the 2 biggest letdowns from the 90s. Shame.

Fux did not get any bigger from 96 to 97 except for his gut.  He made impressive gains but wasn't able to hold on to it for more than a year without growing his gut and thereby losing his proportions.   He had as much chance of making it to the top as any other second tier pro like him.

94 NOC was one of the worst, if not the worst, judging in history!  Even Francois knew he was gifted that one, which would explain why he backed out of the Flex mag photoshoot him and Nasser were scheduled to do together immediately after the show.

Yates wins it by any judging panel, only a few disagree, but the ones who know bodybuilding know that Yates was sliced from top to bottom every bodypart, hard as granite with grainy skin texture, dry and has the deepest lines and was as big as anyone too, so in bodybuilding terms, he could not be touched, no one came close.
