GOP voters learned when he's not giving a speech to a friendly audience, he trails off, rambles, gets angry, and gets ourwitted by his opponents.  IMO, this is a terrible precedent.  You'll have a 2016 palin or someone else, saying "I care more about what people on the ground think" and running nothing more than friendly media campaigns to get the nod.

Rick Perry, who earlier this week called his participation in recent presidential debates a "mistake," plans to limit his participation in upcoming forums heading into the heat of the primary season.

The Texas governor and 2012 hopeful will participate in a CNBC debate scheduled for Nov. 9 in Michigan, but a top aide told CNN's John King his boss may not commit to many more face-offs after that.

"We're about 60 days away from votes being cast," Ray Sullivan, Perry's communications director, told CNN. "The candidates need to spend time in Iowa doing those town halls and spending a lot more time with the voters, who oftentimes have the best questions and press the candidates the hardest." - Yes, cause THAT"S what perry wants?  lol

On Tuesday, Perry told Fox's Bill O'Reilly that the biggest mistake he's made so far in his campaign was agreeing to participate in debates at all.

  • Dumb people think Trump is smart.
But he was supposed to be the darling of the tea party movement.  After Bachmann fell on her face, Newt gained no traction and Trump didn't run.

does this mean he would skip the obama debates too?

terrible precedent to take.  Palin's already drooling over that idea for 2016, I'm sure!

Hide from any tough questions, give speeches for your FOX news friendly interviewer, and try to hide til the election.

You'd demand a tough Q interview for someone dogsitting for you... but not for someone you want to hand the keys to your country?  insane.

Oh brother.  How long now have you been claiming that Palin's going to be the big contender in 2012?  Now it's 2016?

Will your infatuation ever end?
