yes it's true they are making machines more and more advanced to simulate the feel of free weights.

but they also make real free weights.

yes and charles poliquin is so much fucking bogus.

oly lifters and couches are one of the few guys that actually know shit about training. they're no bodybuilding self proclaimed "gurus" preaching isolating inner chest (ahahhaha) or some "powerlifting" morons doing pathetic tire flips as cardio and other "hardcore" shit. they've got strong science and generations of experience to prove their claims so please don't be such a bodybuilding arrogant #girl and don't try to bash them.

bodybuilding and powerlifting is 100% business. they sell their shit which is marketable. what is marketable? easy, low volume, fast routines, not requiring much effort. "hardcore" in the sense of looking hardcore not being hardcore. truth aint marketable. deep oly squats aint marketable. lifting twice daily, 7 times a week HARD wont sell. on the other hand another "low volume low rep low everything" schedule with a diet like "you can eat whatever on sunday as long as you eat according to your blood type, body type, ear type and penis shape" will sell.

wake up.

oh and by the way in powerlifting and bb anything, including most pathetic shit will work as long as you use enough drugs and have good response to them. in olympic lifting it isnt that simple. you dont believe it? try it. some anadrola and trenbolona and testosterona show ester wont make you even decent there.

Stop spreading the truth or the mighty Derek may drain an abscess right into your oatmeal.  :)
I agree 100% with you but you have to take into account that most folks work out to relax.... can't blame them.

Misha's first love is Olympic weightlifting and he is the only strongman who actively competes in both sports. At the 2006 Arnold Classic, after placing third in the strongman contest, Misha gave an exhibition of his Olympic lifting skills at the Arnold junior event on Sunday morning. He clean and jerked a whopping 529 pounds in that exhibition—an amazing lift given what he'd just been through over the past two days. In 2009, he gave an exhibition on Sunday morning on the main stage of the Expo Hall where he clean and jerked 501 pounds on the very bar used by the legendary Vasily Alexeyev the first man to break the 500 pound barrier in the clean and jerk. In 2010 Misha made a great showing at the TWI World's Strongest Man Contest, finishing third behind Zydrunas Savickas and Brian Shaw.

Too much or too little?

Too much man. I'm the same height and I can somewhat relate to what 160 kg would look like at 1,91 m. The only one I've ever seen approach those numbers was a young football player that was over 2,05 m tall and around 340 lbs and he was fucking fat. The guy in the video although not close to being shredded, looks nothing like 160 kg. I'd believe 140 kg, maybe.

EDIT: On a second look, even 140 kg seems like pushing it.

You're 46 years old, loading hormones and bashing people on internet boards for not looking like you. It's illegal in your country, what you gonna do if you get busted? What about your kids? Ever thought about that?
