When pineapple is fresh and in season I eat it with crushed peppers and salt. That's how her dad and I always eat it after a huge feast. Cambodians and Vietnamese have used it for centuries as a liver and digestive aid too. Smart fuckers and great culinary artists.

Yes it probably assists with cutting up. I would cheat sometimes, have 4 slices instead of 2. I honestly wanted to keep eating it.

On days where sodium isn't limited, you should try crushing a couple red chilis with a few tablespoons of sea salt to dip it in. The more you crush the chilis, the hotter it gets so taste it as you go. Let it sit for an hour to dry. It really adds a crazy kick. It goes well with mangoes too. I instantly salivate when I think about it lol
The chili salt keeps well at room temperature and I nibble fruits with this when dieting as well. Obviously you know how torturous it is, so anything new and exciting keeps you sane. I keep this shit chilling in a cupboard and it keeps well for a long time. I hope someone tries this because it's a killer way to eat pineapple! You won't regret it.
