A Republican source who was at the dinner in which pollster Chris Wilson says Herman Cain sexually harassed a young staffer is contradicting the account, telling CBS News he never saw Cain sexually harass anyone that night, although he does remember Cain drinking.

"I did not see a lech," the source said.

Wilson, who was doing polling for the Restaurant Association during Cain's tenure, told an Oklahoma radio station yesterday: "This all occurred at a restaurant in Crystal City [Virginia] and everybody was very aware of it. And so it is, it was only a matter of time because so many people were aware of what took place, so many people were aware of her situation, the fact that she left after this, that it was, it was a-everybody knew with the campaign that this would eventually come up.

But the source said he "didn't remember (Cain) doing anything" at the dinner, which he said was at a Ruth Chris' steakhouse in Crystal City, Virginia. The source said Cain "may have been a little drunk," but he didn't see anything inappropriate--and added that he never heard anyone discuss anything inappropriate that may have occurred. He said about a half dozen people were there.

And alleged eyewitness and former NRA worker claims he has the goods to ruin Cain's campaign JUST HAPPENS to run a Perry superPAC.

And, then we have Politico, who conveniently ducked Anderson Cooper's direct question as to whether or not it was tipped off about this story by a rival campaign.

They have given ZERO info about who gave it.  They also refused to say if the source was Obama, tarot cards, or time traveler.

I agree that Cain doesn't have the goods for a slam dunk case. At best, he has what he described as "bread crumbs" on Hannity's show.

With that said, why did the Perry camp cite Romney's crew as leaking the story?

Maybe this Wilson guy went to Camp Perry and he's well aware of the other guy - the romney donor who was on the NRA board - and assumed it was him.

Maybe that guy did this or that.  Also unfounded.

Looks like shit for BOTH the cain and perry campaigns to be pulling this nonsense, doesn't it?  Neither appear presidential - both appear reactionary and emotional and angry and out of control.  Certainly not presidential.  Will president cain fly off the handle without evidence and bomb someone?  Hmmm

Cain & Perry are both out of the league here.
